On February 24, 2022, Russian troops invaded Ukraine. In the weeks that followed, Russians fought Ukrainians not only in bloody battles using military means, they also wrestled for communicative supremacy in virtual space. In this event, Dr. Dariya Orlova from the Mohyla School of Journalism in Kiyiv and Prof. Florian Töpfl from the University of Passau are analyzing the role of old and new media in this war – and how (trans-)national news flows influence people inside and beyond the borders of the two countries.
Diese Veranstaltung findet in Kooperation mit der Initiative Perspektive Osteuropa der Universität Passau statt.
